initial approach
For this Gentle Monster x Bratz activation, we dove headfirst into Y2K nostalgia and unapologetic girl power. The vibe is bold, fun, and delightfully over-the-top. Food became a centerpiece—an elevated take on childhood comfort classics, with a creative, unexpected twist. We leaned into the dreamy palette, accented with chrome and lavender. Think: ube coconut milk paired with lemon-lavender macarons. Think: mini burgers and fries served in sleek, chrome-toned boxes. Familiar flavors, but make it fashion.
The culinary element was a full sensory experience designed to bring the Gentle Monster spirit to life. As we continued to build with Gentle Monster, we collaborated closely with their team to craft a menu that amplified their brand voice and brought the vision into sharp focus.

Drawing inspiration from La Mer’s clean, understated aesthetic, we crafted a wellness-forward menu that felt both nourishing and visually refined—perfectly suited for the serene energy of Spa de La Mer. For the open house, offerings focused on health-conscious snacks and spa-inspired sips.
For the VIP party, we developed bespoke canapés that subtly nodded to La Mer’s brand identity—from a verdant spinach panna cotta to a bergamot sorbet served in matcha white chocolate shells, echoing the signature green-and-white palette. A delicate crudo paid homage to the kelp-based Miracle Broth at the heart of La Mer’s skincare line, grounding the experience in flavor, storytelling, and sensory elegance.

BSB was tapped by London-based agency Perfect Cartel to design and execute the culinary program for Spa de La Mer—a multi-day brand activation at a modern, light-filled estate in Bel-Air during awards season.
The experience featured a four-day open house and an exclusive VIP party on opening night, welcoming press, influencers, and talent into a serene, high-touch environment. After receiving spa treatments, guests flowed into the expansive poolside living room to sample La Mer’s premium products while enjoying wellness-forward snacks, smoothies, and crafted coffee drinks. For the evening fête, we served elevated passed appetizers and signature cocktails, delivering a food and beverage experience that echoed the brand’s DNA: elevated, wellness-forward, and effortlessly luxe.
